- Account data: Email address and authentication metadata managed by our auth provider (Supabase Auth). We do not store your password ourselves.
- Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Usage data: VINs/plates you submit, report type/format, success/failure logs, basic analytics, and cached report files for faster retrieval.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, and cookies or local storage for session and UI preferences (e.g., theme).
How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and maintain sessions.
- Process payments and manage credit balances.
- Retrieve, generate, and cache vehicle history reports.
- Detect fraud/abuse, enhance security, and improve our service.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the service.
Sharing
We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the service:
- Supabase (authentication, database, storage).
- Stripe (payments and billing).
- Our vehicle data provider(s) used to fetch reports.
Data Retention
We retain account/payment records as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Report files may be cached to speed up repeat access; you can contact us to request deletion of cached items tied to your account.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your Choices & Rights
- You can sign in to view/update your account email, or contact us to delete your account.
- You can clear local history on the site via the “Clear all” button.
- To request access, correction, or deletion of your data, contact us.
Children’s Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
International Transfers
Data may be processed in the United States or other regions where our providers operate.
