- Account data: Email address and authentication metadata managed by our auth provider (Supabase Auth). We do not store your password ourselves.
- Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Usage data: VINs and license plates you submit, report type, success/failure logs, basic analytics, and cached report files for faster retrieval.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and local storage for session preferences.
How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and maintain sessions.
- Process payments and manage credit balances.
- Retrieve, generate, and cache vehicle history reports.
- Detect fraud and abuse, enhance security, and improve the Service.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.
Sharing
We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the Service:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and storage.
- Stripe — payment processing and billing.
- CarSimulcast — upstream vehicle history report provider.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data Retention
We retain account and payment records as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Cached report files may be stored to speed up repeat access. You can contact us to request deletion of cached data tied to your account.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access-controlled databases, and hashed credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your Choices & Rights
- You can sign in to view or update your account email.
- You can clear your local report history on the site using the "Clear all" button.

Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to remember your report history on your device. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our analytics provider (Google Analytics) may set cookies for usage measurement — you can opt out via browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out extension.
Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International Transfers
Data may be processed in the United States or other regions where our service providers operate. By using the Service you consent to such transfers.
