What it does
Finds VINs automatically. Open a listing and it scans the page, then shows a check button for the VIN it found.
Right-click any VIN. Highlight a VIN anywhere at all and choose “Check this VIN's history”.
Free decoding in the popup. Paste a VIN into the toolbar popup for instant year, make, model, trim, engine and drivetrain.
Works on
Facebook Marketplace · Craigslist · eBay Motors · Cars.com · Autotrader · CarGurus · OfferUp · CarMax
Found a car worth checking?
Accidents, title brands, odometer records, service history and recalls — $5.99.
Get the full report — $5.99Built for the way people actually shop for cars
Nobody buys a used car from one listing. You end up with fifteen tabs open across Marketplace, Craigslist and Autotrader, and the tedious part is copying each VIN out and pasting it somewhere else to check. The extension removes that step: it reads the page you're already on, spots the VIN, and puts a check button next to it.
It also adds a right-click option. Highlight a VIN anywhere — a listing, an email, a text message pasted into a browser tab — choose Check this VIN's history, and it opens pre-filled. The toolbar popup will decode any VIN for free if you just want the factory specs.
What it does and doesn't touch
The extension only runs on car listing sites, and a VIN is sent to our servers only when you click to decode or open a report. There is no analytics, no browsing history collection, and nothing is transmitted in the background. The source is included in the download if you want to read it.
